Transforming Heritage Episode 5
11 July 2024
Dating back to the early 13th century, the Greyfriars building is one of the very few friary remains in Britain and one of the best preserved.
Now, Heritage Lincolnshire is working on a project to conserve and re-purpose this Grade I-listed, scheduled monument, bringing it back to life as a multi-use heritage destination, which will unlock 800 years of stories from the site.
The AHF has supported this project with a Project Viability Grant in 2017 and a Project Development Grant in 2019.
To learn more about the building’s history and future, listen below for an interview with Katherine Briggs, Conservation Project Co-ordinator at Heritage Lincolnshire.
