The Architectural Heritage Fund (AHF) is very pleased to announce that three of its loan-funded projects have successfully completed and repaid their investment in the last few months. These funds can now be recycled and used to support further historic building regeneration projects in the future, ensuring the preservation of more of the UK’s beloved heritage.

South London Theatre
We supported the South London Theatre Building Preservation Trust with £80,000 of loan investment towards urgent repair and refurbishment of the South London Theatre, which is housed in the Grade II-listed former West Norwood fire station in Lambeth. The building was converted and first opened as a theatre in the late 1960s. It now offers an annual programme of productions, as well as a popular youth theatre group.

Caerwent House
The Spitalfields Trust has completed works to the previously derelict Grade II-listed Caerwent House in Monmouthshire, Wales. The building has been brought back into use as two beautifully restored residential properties and, as of this year, new owners have now moved in. We were pleased to be able to provide £610,000 to support the repair and refurbishment of the 17th-century building.

The Silverstone Museum
We supported Silverstone Heritage Limited with loan investment of £250,000 towards the redevelopment of The Silverstone Museum, which is housed in a refurbished Second World War Wellington Bomber Hangar on the world-famous racecourse site. New interpretation now also tells the story of the wartime RAF base, first re-used after war in 1948 by the Royal Automobile Club for the British Grand Prix.
Congratulations to these three projects.
