Heritage Angel Awards Northern Ireland shortlist 2018

Ulster Architectural Heritage has announced the shortlist of Heritage Angel Awards Northern Ireland.  These awards, funded by the Andrew Lloyd Webber Foundation, Derry and Strabane District Council and the Department for Communities celebrate the efforts of people taking action to save and their local heritage give it a new lease of life. 

There are 15 nominations across five categories, including Best Rescue of a Historic Building less than £5m and Best Major Regeneration of a Historic Building or Place.

One of the nominated projects that received sustained support from the Architectural Heritage Fund, and took pride of place on the front cover of the 2010-11 Annual Review, is Lissan House, County Tyrone.

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 6th November at the Guildhall, Derry. The Northern Ireland winners will be joined by winners from the other home nations at the UK final where the winners will be revealed at London’s Gillian Lynne Theatre on 27th November 2018.
