Penarth Pier Pavilion
Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales

Situated at the gateway to Penarth Pier, this Grade II-listed Art Deco Pavilion was built in 1929 as an entertainment venue and shelter for visitors. Over the decades, it has weathered fires, wars and storms, and faced severe decline and disrepair.

Thanks to a community-led campaign to save this seafront landmark, major repair and restoration work was carried out at the Pavilion from 2011 to 2013. The sensitive regeneration enabled the Pavilion to be reopened to the public as a cultural hub once again.

Today, Penarth Pier Pavilion, restored to its former glory, remains a treasured landmark and vibrant venue in the heart of Penarth. Now under the ownership of the Vale of Glamorgan Council, it is a space for the whole community to enjoy, with a range of events throughout the year, including cinema, live music, art exhibitions and workshops, as well as bookable spaces for meetings, conferences, weddings, and other special celebrations.
