Adam Hitchings
Adam Hitchings is the Development Manager for Wales.
Prior to joining AHF in May 2017, he worked at the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for almost 15 years in a variety of roles.
He has extensive project planning and management experience gained while serving on the Fund’s task and finish group, developing and implementing its on-line application portal, furthered while on secondment at Welsh Government assisting with the delivery of its new online recruitment system.
Adam’s last role at HLF was as Welsh Language Officer, ensuring the Fund complied with its current Welsh Language Scheme and leading on preparations for the Fund’s transition to Welsh Language Standards. He continued to assess applications and monitor projects including the multimillion pound restoration and redevelopment of Yr Ysgwrn, the ancestral homestead of First World War poet Hedd Wyn.
He has a degree in Welsh (University of Wales Swansea) and is the Wales Trustee of the Heritage Trust Network.

Cyn ymuno â’r Gronfa Treftadaeth Bensaernïol ym mis Mai 2017, gweithiodd yng Nghronfa Dreftadaeth y Loteri (CDL) am bron 15 mlynedd mewn sawl rôl wahanol.
Mae ganddo brofiad helaeth o gynllunio a rheoli prosiectau a enillodd wrth weithio ar grŵp gorchwyl a gorffen y Gronfa i ddatblygu a chyflawni’r porth ceisiadau ar-lein, ac yn bellach ar secondiad i Lywodraeth Cymru i’w chynorthwyo cyflawni ei system recriwtio ar-lein newydd.
Swyddog yr Iaith Gymraeg oedd rôl olaf Adam yng NghDL, sicrhau bod y Gronfa’n cydymffurfio â’i Chynllun Iaith Gymraeg ac yn arwain y Gronfa wrth iddi baratoi ar gyfer Safonau’r iaith Gymraeg. Hefyd fe wnaeth asesu ceisiadau a monitro prosiectau gan gynnwys adfer a Yr Ysgwrn, bwythyn a fferm hynafiadol Hedd Wyn.
Mae ganddo radd Cymraeg (Prifysgol Cymru Abertawe) ac yn Ymddiriedolwr Cymru y Rhwydwaith Ymddiriedolaethau Treftadaeth.
