Make a difference to heritage

Two fantastic opportunities are currently open to people keen to contribute their heritage skills and knowledge.

The Heritage Lottery Fund is seeking new members for its London Committee, which considers applications for funding in the city.  HLF is particularly seeking expertise in historic buildings and regeneration and industrial, maritime and transport history, as well as promoting inclusion within the delivery of projects and services and reaching out to the widest range of people.  The closing date is 3 October, with more information here:      https://forms.hlf.org.uk/applications/HLFCommittees_PublicPortal.ofml

The Society of Antiquaries of London is recruiting a Project Manager to lead the development of their proposals to restore the former country home of William Morris, Kelmscott Manor and its estate, transforming the experience for visitors.  In addition to significant funding from HLF, the role is supported through an AHF Development Grant.  Further details can be found here:  https://www.sal.org.uk/about-us/vacancies/

The Theatres Trust is recruiting a Theatres Adviserto support theatres planning for or delivering capital developments, as well as groups that are yet to secure a building, and others involved in the operation of theatres such as local authorities.  Many of the these will be important heritage buildings, including theatres on Theatres Trust At Risk Register.  For details of the role, see http://www.theatrestrust.org.uk/about/jobs
