Axminster Heritage obtains Round 1 HLF pass for final project phase

Axminster Heritage Ltd have achieved Round 1 pass from the HLF to develop final phase of the restoration of the home of Thomas Whitty, the inventor of the Axminster carpet, into a museum and education space for historic carpets and textiles.

The AHF are delighted to learn of Axminster Heritage's recent success, which builds on over five years of support and development grant funding from the AHF; we have supported the organisation through two phases of restoration and are pleased to see a successful outcome for the final phase of the project.
